If you are not able or interested in staying at the Hyatt Regency, here are a few convenient alternatives to explore. We recommend booking your room as soon as possible, since downtown Seattle is a busy place and RustConf is taking place right after a long holiday weekend in the US.

Transit
Planning to fly into Seattle for RustConf? The nearest airport is Seattle-Tacoma International (SEA-TAC).
For cost and convenience, we highly recommend all RustConf attendees traveling through SEA-TAC utilize the Sound Transit Light Rail system to reach downtown Seattle, where the event is taking place.
Train tickets are approximately $3 and can be purchased at the SEA-TAC/Airport station. Depending on where your hotel is located, you’ll likely want to catch the 1 line in the Lynwood City Center direction, ride the train for ~45 minutes, and disembark at Westlake station. Click here for SoundTransit ticket information and here for a trip planner.
Visas
Attendees from some countries might require a travel visa to attend RustConf in person. We encourage each attendee to research their specific travel requirements in advance, as visa application and approval processes can take weeks to months.
If you determine that you will require a travel visa to join us at RustConf, an official letter of invitation from us might strengthen your application and, in some cases, might be a requirement. You can request a visa letter after you have registered for RustConf by filling out this form. If your visa application is denied, we can reimburse your ticket purchase.
Note: Obtaining an invitation letter from the Rust Foundation will not guarantee visa approval. While the Rust Foundation will most likely not be able to provide you with visa application advice, you are welcome to email us at rustconf@rustfoundation.org if you have any questions about the information above!
